A Stable Camera Caught a Small, See-Through Figure Petting a Horse at 11 P.M. Nobody Nearby Knows Who She Could Be
A motion-triggered security camera recorded what looks like a little girl in a nightgown or dress beside an old horse late on a Monday night. The owner says the clip isn't AI, her other cameras caught nothing, and no neighbor's child fits.
Location An equine-therapy property (the owner hasn't disclosed its location)

LOCATION UNDISCLOSED (night of Aug. 31, 2026) — The camera in the stable was there for the horse. Its owner had put it up because she was worried about the old animal’s health, according to the Argentine news site C5N.

Around 11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 31, the camera’s motion sensor tripped. The clip it saved lasts about 20 seconds. In it, a small, pale figure that looks semi-transparent on the footage stands beside the horse in what looks like a nightgown or dress. It appears to reach up and pet the animal.
What we know
On the record: documents, statements, dates and places. Sources below.
- The clip. The footage was recorded at an equine-therapy property, Coast to Coast AM reports, and was shared on social media the next day by its owner, who posts on TikTok as @ljtherapy. The caption on the post, as embedded by Sharon A. Hill, reads: “Not therapy ralated but this was a wild find when looking through my cameras from last night.” Coast to Coast AM quotes her describing what the footage seemed to show as “a little girl in a dress petting my horse at 11 PM last night.”
- The camera. In a follow-up video, the owner explained that the camera records only in 20-second clips when it detects motion, according to writer Sharon A. Hill, who embedded both videos on her site. The follow-up also shows the scene in daylight.
- The other cameras. The owner says other motion-sensitive cameras around the area recorded nothing, Hill, C5N and Japan’s TOCANA all report. According to C5N, she said the family went back through the footage from the cameras on the other horse stalls and found no images of anyone entering the barn.
- The property. The owner describes the property as isolated, on a hill and far from the nearest neighborhood, C5N reports. The family showed the video to nearby neighbors who have children, and all of them said it wasn’t their child, according to C5N. It was also a school night.
- The horse. C5N identifies the horse as Kirby. The owner hasn’t said where the property is.
- The coverage. Hill wrote about the clip on Sept. 4 and C5N on Sept. 5. Coast to Coast AM covered it on Sept. 15, and TOCANA on Sept. 16.
What’s claimed
Accounts, testimony and theories, as told by the people who tell them.
- Not AI. Responding to viewers who asked whether the footage was AI-generated, the owner said in her follow-up that it isn’t, according to C5N and TOCANA.
- No explanation. In a later video featuring Kirby, the owner said she doesn’t have an explanation, C5N reports.
- A visitor from the other side. Online, the figure has been widely taken for a ghost girl. Its semi-transparency gives it “the distinct appearance of being a ghost,” Coast to Coast AM wrote. C5N quotes a commenter describing himself as a paranormal investigator with more than 20 years of experience who called it a fantastic capture and a calm, beautiful moment from the spirit world.
- A real child? Hill thinks the figure looks like a girl of 4 or 5. “The best guess about what is going on here is that it is a real person, which is, itself, disturbing,” she wrote. “But there are no other leads regarding who it could be.” Of the AI theory, she added: “Some people will say AI, but that doesn’t feel right for this person.” One commenter on her post noted that night-vision cameras blend several frames together, which can make a moving figure look see-through.
Twenty seconds
Either answer is strange. A little girl, alone, walking up to a horse in an isolated stable at 11 p.m. on a school night, who, the owner says, belongs to none of the nearby families, and whom no other camera caught arriving or leaving. Or something that isn’t a little girl at all.
According to C5N, the owner’s original post asked, in effect, why else a little girl would be petting her horse at 11 at night if ghosts weren’t real. In her follow-ups she showed viewers the camera and the daylight view, and said, as C5N reports it, that this is literally all she has.
