What helps us most
- When and where — the date, time (with time zone) and as precise a location as you’re comfortable sharing.
- What happened — in your own words, as soon as you can write it down. Details fade.
- Anything recorded — original photos, video or audio files (not screenshots), documents, links.
- Other witnesses — whether anyone else saw it, and whether they’d be willing to talk.
- How to reach you — and whether you’d like your name kept out of anything we publish.
A few ground rules
- Don’t put yourself or anyone else at risk, trespass or break the law to get a story.
- Regular email isn’t a fully private channel. Keep that in mind when deciding what to send.
- We can’t reply to every message, but we read them all. Sending a tip doesn’t guarantee we’ll publish it.
- Your account runs under what’s claimed, in your words; documents and records go under what we know.
